Brief Description

Software Test Engineer will serve as a member of Software QA team, responsible for testing and quality assurance of all aspects of company’s software and service. As a Test Engineer you will be working closely with development during the design and implementation of new features. This includes test scoping, design, implementation, execution, debugging, and automation. You will work within a team utilizing an Agile development methodology composed of smart, motivated people skilled in Product Development.

GlobalEnglish is building the next generation of e-learning platforms. This platform will enable our global customers to learn English anywhere at any time and integrate with our partners to provide additional services to our customers. The Software Test Engineer will serve as member of Software QA team, responsible for testing and quality assurance of all aspects of company’s software and service. As a Test Engineer you will be working closely with development during the design and implementation of new features. This includes test scoping, design, implementation, execution, debugging, and automation. You will work within a team utilizing an Agile development methodology composed of smart, motivated people skilled in Product Management, Development and QA.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and analyzing system/software requirements, technical design and writing test plans, test cases and procedures.
  
• Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts. Actively participate in the entire product life cycle including product specification reviews and design reviews.
  
• Support the entire test and certification process by getting involved early in the product development cycle and managing areas of ownership through product release.
  
• Performing manual and automated tests, filing bug reports, and collecting and reporting test metrics.
  
• Analyzing and investigating user-reported problems.

Knowledge and skills

• Experience with Test Management tools (Test Director and Test Manager) and UI Automation tools (QTP, Silktest) and Javascript, HTML, SQL Server.
  
• Demonstrated experience in supporting applications operating in IIS, SQL Server, Windows environments.
  
• Attention to detail, end-to-end execution, cross-functional communication, team work, initiative, problem-solving and collaboration skills are a must.
  
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  
• Minimum 4+ years of software quality assurance and testing experience in MS Windows environments, designing test plan and writing test cases for large releases.
  
• BS Degree in computer science or related field.
